Where We Are

With direct access to the South Downs and only ten minutes from the beach, Roedean Moira House has been rooted in the local landscape of Eastbourne since 1888 (established 1875).  Located in a leafy, pretty part of Eastbourne, the Roedean Moira House campus is set within the grounds of three impressive houses: Boston House, School House and Dunn House.  The school is very accessible, just a walk away from Eastbourne city centre, and close enough to Brighton for our Boarders to take advantage of all it has to offer in terms of culture and a dynamic atmosphere.

  • The school offers a truly inspirational setting for girls to inhabit as they grow up, whether it’s enjoying the tranquility of the leafy campus on a summer’s day, or being able to stoll straight onto the Downs during one of their outdoor activities.

  • The unique experience of growing up in this idyllic coastal landscape will create lifelong memories for the girls.

Roedean Moira House is fortunate to be very accessible, most notably only being approximately 30 minutes' drive from Brighton, just under 1 hour and 30 minutes from London Victoria on the train, and also very close to Gatwick (under 1 hour on the train).  We hope that these instructions will help you to reach the school with the minimum of fuss:
